Google is taking another leap into the $400 billion smartphone market. While the company’s software, Android which runs millions of phones worldwide. Now Google unveiled a line of smartphones called Pixel at an event on Tuesday. The Price of the phone is  $649, about the same as Apple’s iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy. In India, it will cost Rs. 57,000.

In addition to a premium camera and long battery life, the company is expected to use Pixel to highlight a digital assistant software called “Google Assistant.” The devices boast 4GB of RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, a fingerprint sensor and a 12MP rear-facing camera.

The phones drop its existing Nexus branding in favor of “Pixel,” a nod to Google’s existing tablet and Chromebook line. Both run on Android 7.1 Nougat, Google’s most recent mobile operating system. The Google Pixel camera sensor has large 1.55μm pixels, and the lens features a large f/2.0 aperture. These specs help deliver “sharp, crisp images” for “great shots in any light” and “bright, even photos,” Google says. An HDR function helps assist with improving dynamic range, shooting multiple exposures and blending them after aligning pixels and removing blur. Also On the video front, the Pixel camera can shoot 4K video at 30fps, 1080p video at 120fps, and 720p video at 240fps. A gyroscope in the phone helps provide image stabilization and rolling shutter reduction while you’re shooting video.

The smart assistant, which echoes many aspects of Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Alexa. It would be the centerpiece of a new wave of computing based on voice-activated intelligence in many smart devices. While Pixel is assembled by HTC but it will carry the inscription “Made by Google” on the back. Along with design, Google has taken full responsibility for many aspects of the handset’s productions and will assume the risk of carrying inventory.

The devices, which are available for pre-sale starting on Tuesday, come in three colors: quite black, very silver and really blue. It is available for pre-order in the U.S. now. It will launch with a free six-month trial of YouTube Red.
